Discpicable me…

Dear Jesus,

Today, I do not know what lies ahead, but I find peace in knowing whose I am. I may not see the end of this day, but I know I belong to You. I have made the decision to follow You as Your disciple, but, Lord, teach me—what does that truly mean?

Draw me closer to You. Reveal my weaknesses, my sin, and the depths of my need for Your grace. Yet, in Your mercy, make me whole in the brilliance of Your wonderful light.

Help me to be a beacon, a reflection of Your love and truth, for my spouse, my family, my church, and my community. Shape me into the disciple You desire me to be. Teach me, guide me, and help me to grow in Your likeness. Fill me with Your Spirit (John 3:30), and empty me of myself so that I may follow You fully, just as the first disciples did when You called them by the Sea of Galilee (Mark 1:16-20).

Grow my obedience, Lord, for without You, I am a wandering child lost in this world. But with You, I am a proud son (or daughter) of the One True God, the Most High, the King of the universe.

Amen.
