Take a moment to reflect. How well do you really know God? Not just a surface understanding, but a deep, transformative knowledge brought forth by the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit. For many, this journey begins when we are saved, and it is a journey that deepens daily.
As I grow in my understanding of God, I find myself drawn into a deeper, more intimate relationship with Him. This is not merely an intellectual pursuit but a heartfelt transformation. The more I learn about God, the more I realize how much more there is to learn. This ongoing discovery shapes me, guiding me closer to Him.
In much the same way, consider how well you know the members of your family—your spouse, your children. How well do you truly ‘ginosko’ them? The Greek term ‘ginosko’ refers to a profound, experiential knowledge that comes from personal interaction and transforms us. It’s not about mere facts or superficial familiarity; it’s about deep, meaningful connection.
Have you invested time in really knowing your spouse or children? This means engaging in conversations that go beyond the surface, actively listening with genuine love, compassion, and care. It’s a daily commitment to grow closer to them, just as we strive to grow closer to God.
As we develop this ‘ginosko’ relationship with God, let it reflect in our relationships at home. Let our families witness the transformation in us, driven by our growing knowledge and love for God. And in doing so, we cultivate a home filled with love, respect, and unity.
Excuse me, I believe it’s time for me to ‘ginosko’ my daughter a little more right now…
