As faithful Christians and family members, there will be times when our deep love for Jesus and our commitment to serving Him will cause discomfort or even pain for those around us. This pain, however, is not without purpose, as it often leads to the joy found in the Lord. Are you, as a shepherd of your family, willing to endure this pain, knowing that it comes with the promise of joy through Christ?
Part of bearing our cross is letting go of pride, especially when we face the challenge of guiding loved ones to confront their own sin. This can make them uncomfortable, angry, or even hurtful toward us. In these moments, instead of reacting with defensiveness or aggression, we must hold tightly to Jesus. Seek His strength, reflect His love, and let the fruits of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience—be evident in your life.
**Application for Today:**
When you face tension or conflict with a loved one due to your faith, take a moment to pause, pray, and reflect on Jesus’ example. Instead of responding in frustration, choose to respond with gentleness and love. Let them see the joy and peace that Christ brings, even in difficult situations. This simple act of shepherding, serving, and stewarding your relationships can help sow seeds of faith in their hearts.
